Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...

Our star suncatcher experiment turned out pretty cute.  The directions are to fill a wide mouth mason jar with boiling water, add 1/2 cup Borax and stir until it is dissolved.  Then put a pipecleaner (in any shape you want) in the mixture and let it sit for about 24 hours.  We put our pipe cleaners around a cookie cutter to shape them, put a piece of thread through them, then wrapped the thread around a pencil.  The thread needs to be taped to the pencil at the correct length so that it doesn't unravel.

right after we made them...

A day later...

Tie a ribbon on it and it is ready to be hung up.
