We are getting ready for our teddy bear sleep over by reading one of my favorite bedtime books, Llama Llama Red Pajama.

A New Baby...
The kids are thrilled to have a new baby at daycare. Throughout the day they ask where he is, make sure he is doing ok, and they love helping me take care of him.

Teddy Bears
What can you do with teddy bears? Count them, sort them, feed them, dress them and dance with them...
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, touch your nose,
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, touch your toes;
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, touch the ground,
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, turn around.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, turn off the light,
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, touch your toes;
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, touch the ground,
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, turn around.
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, climb the stairs,
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, say your prayers,Teddy bear, Teddy bear, turn off the light,
Teddy bear, Teddy bear, say goodnight!

Valentine's
It took me a while to go through the 107 pictures I took on Valentine's day....Here is a recap of our Valentine's Day celebration...We started out right away with heart shaped pancakes.
We played games with candy....
the kids enjoyed yogurt parfaits with sprinkles....
decorated Valentine bags and handed out our treats...
and then we finished off our party with a heart shaped pizza, yummy!

One Of Our Favorites...
Rice! There are so many great things to do with the rice bucket, this time to go with our Valentine's theme I hid foam hearts. To add to the learning, when the kids found a heart they were supposed to match it to the right color cup. We ended up with two cups having all of the hearts because the kids got go excited about finding a heart they didn't care about matching the color. Then we ended up with all of the hearts back in the bucket because hiding them is as much fun as finding them. It didn't take the kids long to completely forget about the hearts because they started using the cups to scoop up and dump the rice...into their hands, into another cup, and onto the table/floor:)

Circle Time...part 1
Trying to get a picture of the kids doing our opening prayer was fun. I ended up with some very funny facial expressions as they were shouting the words as loud as they could, but I'm only posting a couple that aren't too embarrassing:)
Open and shut them,
open and shut them,
give a little clap, clap, clap
Open and shut them
open and shut them,
fold them in your lap, lap, lap
Thank You for the world so sweet.
Thank You for the food we eat.
Thank You for the birds that sing.
Thank You God for EVERYTHING!
AMEN
